Mojix STAR System Now Validated as 'Ready for IBM® Websphere Premises Server'
Delivers complete RFID Solutions for Business Visibility leveraging IBM's Location Awareness Services enabled by the passive RFID RTLS capabilities of Mojix STAR System
October 15, 2008, Los Angeles, CA Mojix®, Inc. announced today that the Mojix STAR™ system has achieved certification with IBM's Ready for IBM WebSphere Premises Server program. The new solution delivers business visibility from RFID Solutions by combining the power of IBM enterprise software and the Mojix STAR system for large-scale, high-volume and economical RFID data collection.
"Successful RFID deployments require the ability to easily implement robust enterprise-class business solutions," said Ramin Sadr, CEO & Founder, Mojix. "The Mojix STAR system integration with IBM WebSphere Premises Server signals that the broad new capabilities and superior economics of the STAR system can be readily realized in RFID solutions by customers around the globe."
Introduced in April 2008, the Mojix STAR system uses advanced digital signal processing and a flexible new RFID systems architecture to deliver unprecedented EPC RFID range, reliability, scale and utility. Among the advanced capabilities of the STAR system is the newly announced Mojix eLocation™ solution, which provides real-time location estimation and tracking using low-cost EPC passive RFID tags, thus enabling organizations to leverage a single cost-effective RFID system for all supply chain management and RTLS requirements.
IBM WebSphere Premises Server integration enables a simple, standards-based path for exploiting the Mojix STAR system's revolutionary functionality with enterprise class business visibility solutions. For example, the Mojix STAR system supports IBM WebSphere Premises Server Location Aware Services (LAS) to visualize location events using passive RFID tag data including both tag reads and location data on goods and assets.
IBM WebSphere Premises Server 6.1 is built upon the IBM SOA foundation product set providing the scalability and reliability expected of enterprise-class end-to-end sensor-based solutions. Platform extensibility and flexibility enables multiple sensor types (device services including active RFID, passive RFID and condition sensors) to be supported on a single platform to enable new innovative business processes that exploit the insights from sensor information. Location Awareness Services enable the tracking of real time location of goods and assets and the detection of location based events that can trigger proactive and remedial processes.
Together IBM WebSphere Premises Server and the Mojix STAR system enable the deployment of end-to-end RFID solutions that deliver on-demand access to business information in supply chains, optimally manage inventory, and keep track of valuable assets in real time.
