This position will leverage web and related technologies to implement enterprise, desktop web, mobile web and/or mobile apps to meet the needs of our customers. In this role, the developer will be working with project architects, professional services staff, and customers to understand the requirements, implement the design and test the solutions to ensure compliance to requirements and technical standards. The developer will also provide development support to production web sites and applications.
The successful candidate should have a strong JSE and JEE background with good experiences in Javascript and possess a proven track record of defining and delivering high quality web sites or mobile apps through the use of best practices of software development.
Responsibilities
- Develop JEE based web sites or applications on desktops, tablets and/or smartphones under tight deadlines
- Support ongoing changes to the production web sites and/or mobile apps
In Depth Knowledge of and Hands-On Experience in:
- OO design patterns and development in an Internet Web site environment using Java IDEs (RAD preferred)
- Common open source frameworks or tools (Spring, Hibernate, log4j, ant)
- Ajax framework, JQuery preferred
- Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
- Web Services (SOAP and/or REST)
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting Apache & Tomcat
- Knowledge of Adobe Flex/Flash preferred
- Experiences in mobile development (mobile web or apps) on tablet or smartphones a plus
- Professional experience with application/product deployment and documentation
- Professional experience writing and conducting unit tests
- Understanding of core concepts and principles of XML

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. A Master's Degree in Computer Science is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise class application development
- Experience working on web, mobile and digital projects
- Embedded software experience a plus
